I am impressed with the thoughtfulness that has gone into this year’s Advent package. Each morning I open my envelope of yarn with excitement and I love the little story that explains the color for that days mini. It’s bringing back the story of The Hobbit, and the colors so far are delightful. I’m so glad I chose this advent calendar this year!

Although I have not looked at the Holiday Countdown Collection yet, I know I will not be disappointed. Lisa’s yarn is the best SW I have ever knit with. Cannot wait to see how she interprets Tolkien.

I love how this advent is packaged. It reminds me of the chocolate advent calendars we would get as children. Can’t wait to start opening the wonderful yarn I know is waiting for me.

Almost done with my socks-it’s such a nice yarn to knit, it feels so nice on my hands, I’m sure it will feel great on my feet. The colors are brilliant. As for the Pi aspect-my husband is a retired math teacher so he’s been interested, too. And then-it seemed to skip a color in the sequence-until I realized that ZERO was the digit in that part of pi. So interesting.

I had originally planned to use the Tootsie Roll pattern by painted daisy and knit almost one entire sock before deciding it just didn’t do the yarn justice. I’m just doing two at a time straight stocking at and the yarn is shining.

I ordered this for my kid, who is learning to spin. They're holding off until their skill has improved (using some fiber that came with their kick wheel to practice) but the fiber came earlier than expected and we're delighted with how it feels.

I love the yarn I chose. Great quality and I am currently making socks with the self striping purchase.
