This set was our featured item at the recent Allentown Fiber Festival. I designed the Allentown pattern specifically for our Ridgetop fingering weight.
Allentown is a slightly slouchy, unisex hat worked in FDW Ridgetop fingering weight yarn. It features striped ribbing followed by an easy, two-color motif. With only four rounds of colorwork that require catching the floats, Allentown is a great pattern for those who are just starting out on their colorwork journey.
We’ve put together five color combinations for these sets – click the options in the drop down menu for individual pictures of each:
The sample hat was knit using Peacock as the main color and Wisp as the contrast color.
These sets include two 50-gram skeins of FDW Ridgetop fingering (80/20 NON-SUPERWASH Romney/Falkland, 200 yards each) as well as a pattern download code, which can be redeemed on Ravelry at no additional cost.
Recommended care: Ridgetop is a NON-SUPERWASH and should be handwashed in cool water, gently squeezed of excess water, and allowed to dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
