These First Harvest Small Project Sets are perfectly configured for making items such as hats, mitts, cowls, or other small items that involve colorwork or striping but don’t require full skeins of yarn. We used one of the Linnaeus sets to knit the Stria Hat, by Andrea Mowry (seen in the second image)!
The sets include a 50-gram skein of Shadowy Gray and four 20-gram mini skeins in the other four colors of our First Harvest colorway: Rich Brown, Deep Green, Harvest Red, and Grain Gold.
First Harvest Small Project Sets are available on the following bases:
Bounce – fingering, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 200 yards per 50-gram skein, plus 80 yards in each 20-gram mini; 520 yards total.
Mountain Tweed BFL – fingering, 85/15 SW BFL/Donegal Nepp (nylon), 218 yards per 50-gram skein, plus 87 yards in each 20-gram mini; 566 yards total. (Note that the contents of the minis in the Mountain Tweed sets are 85/15 SW Merino/Donegal Nepp.)
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
