September is National Suicide Prevention Month. In 2022, over 49,000 people in the US took their own lives. There are a great number of people groups at high risk for suicide, depression, self-harm, etc. Two that are close to my heart are veterans and LGBTQIA+ youth. I will be donating $5 from the sale of each ❤STAY❤ item, split between K9s for Warriors (who work to end suicide in the veteran population) and The Trevor Project (who provide support to LGBTQIA+ youth in crisis.)
The colors of purple and teal in ❤STAY❤ symbolize suicide awareness and prevention. I created this colorway as a way to help bring awareness to the need for help at all levels of society – nationally, locally, right next door, and in our own homes.
❤STAY❤ is available as a self-striping colorway, a mini skein set, and as a fiber braid or spinning set. See below for all of the options:
SELF-STRIPING
❤STAY❤ is a five stripe colorway featuring a progression of purple and teal that goes back and forth between dark purple, medium teal, light purple/light teal (variegated), medium purple, and dark teal.
Each pre-ordered skein of self-striping will come with a bonus mini of the dyer’s choice.
❤STAY❤ is shown on Bounce and Mountain Tweed BFL; the sample is knit in Bounce. It is available for pre-order on the following bases:
Bounce – fingering, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 400 yards per 100-gram skein (plus 80 yd/20-gram bonus mini)
Bedazzled – fingering, 75/20/5 SW Merino/Nylon/Silver Stellina, 438 yards per 100-gram skein (plus 87 yd/20-gram bonus mini)
*Mountain Tweed BFL – fingering, 85/15 SW BFL/Donegal Nepp, 438 yards per 100-gram skein (plus 87 yd/20-gram bonus mini)
Traveler – sport, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 328 yards per 100-gram skein (plus 65 yd/20-gram bonus mini)

MINI SKEIN SET
The ❤STAY❤ mini skein set includes five 20-gram minis, one in each of the five colors featured in the self-striping colorway. The mini set shown is on our Bounce base.
The ❤STAY❤ mini sets are available for pre-order on the following bases:

Bedazzled – fingering, 75/20/5 SW Merino/Nylon/Silver Stellina, 438 yards per 100-gram skein

FIBER
❤STAY❤ is available in two different fiber configurations: a 4 oz. variegated braid and a Spinning Set, which includes five one-ounce mini bumps of fiber, one each of the five ❤STAY❤ colors. Samples are shown on Polwarth.
Braids and Spinning Sets are both available on the following fibers:
100% Polwarth Top
Mixed BFL/Silk (85% Mixed BFL/15% Tussah Silk) (This is an oatmeal colored fiber to begin with, so the colors dyed on it will be a bit more muted.)

Recommended care for yarn: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
Recommended care for fiber: Hand wash only in cool water; air dry flat. These fibers will felt. Note that a minor amount of residual dye may be released from the fiber in the first couple of soaks. This is normal and should not affect the color of the overall spun yarn.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
