Welcome the third installment of our Seasonal Pi collection: Bright Spring Palette Pi!
Spring palettes often hone in on soft, pastel shades. However, I opted to look to nature for my inspiration — as trees and flowers start to bloom in the newly greening grass and trees, they are usually quite bright! Vivid magenta and orange blooms on azaleas; vibrant purples of the rhododendron; pops of violets, buttercups, and dandelions in the grass. These bright bloom may be small, but they are mighty!
Like all of our Pi Day colorways, the striping pattern is based on the numeric sequence of pi – 3.141592…, which is a non-repeating number. Thus, the stripe sequence does not repeat within the skein, and you will not be able to get a matching pair of socks (or anything) from a single skein. But if you’re a math geek, that’s part of the fun! We include a stitch marker affixed to the beginning of the sequence (Magenta) so you can start your project with the first Pi digit, if you’d like to! Note that anywhere in the sequence where a zero occurs, the corresponding stripe is skipped, and the color progression will reflect that.
Bright Spring Palette Pi is available in-stock on the following bases:

Mountain Tweed BFL (discounted) – fingering, 85/15 SW BFL/Donegal Nep (nylon), 438 yards per 100-gram skein – two skeins of this base have some mild orange color that bled into the yellow segment during the dye process, so we are discounting them a bit.

Traveler – sport, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 328 yards per 100-gram skein
Cozy – worsted, 100% SW Merino, 220 yards per 100-gram skein
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
