Spring has finally sprung here in the mountains, and it’s come with inspiration on the breeze! The idea for Color Play #3 originally began to blossom in last spring, along with our dogwood tree, but the blooms passed before I could get the colorway together. This year, however, I was ready for it. Our beautiful tree blossomed into branches full of delicate shades: dewy ivory petals surrounding soft yellow and green centers, accents of brown, and tiny blushes of mauvey-purple that you can almost miss if you don’t look close enough.
This is listing is for the self-striping version of Color Play #3. It is a five-stripe colorway featuring four wee stripes of Canopy Green, Dappled Yellow, Loam Brown, and Blush Mauve. The fifth is a wide ivory-colored stripe with gentle speckling of each of the other four colors; it alternates between each of the four wee stripes.
Shown on our Bounce base, this colorway is currently available in-stock on:
Bounce – fingering, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 400 yards per 100-gram skein
Squoosh 2.0 – heavy fingering, 75/25 SW Corriedale/Nylon, 383 yards per 100-gram skei
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air drying flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Because of their hand-dyed nature, colorways can (and likely will) vary somewhat between skeins, between different bases, and between dye batches. If you are purchasing more than one skein of the same colorway to be used together in a project, please leave a note with your order letting us know so we can assure your skeins are from the same batch.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
