We’re bringing back our 2019 Pi Day colorway, Pi(e) a la Mode! Inspired by our favorite ice cream flavors to pair with pie, this colorway features the following stripe colors:
Mint Chocolate Chip
Like all of our Pi Day colorways, the striping pattern is based on the numeric sequence of pi – 3.141592…, which is a non-repeating number. Thus, the stripe sequence does not repeat within the skein, and you will not be able to get a matching pair of socks (or anything) from a single skein. But if you’re a math geek, that’s part of the fun!
The sample shown was knit in our Traveler base, 48 stitches on US1.5 needles.
Shown on Traveler and Mountain Tweed, Pi(e) a la Mode is currently being offered on the following bases:
Bounce – fingering, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 400 yards per 100 gram skein
Bedazzled – fingering, 75/20/5 SW Merino/Nylon/Stellina, 438 yards per 100 gram skein
Mountain Tweed – fingering, 85/15 SW BFL/Nylon Nepp, 438 yards per 100 gram skein
Heavenly – fingering, 80/10/10 SW Merino/Cashmere/Nylon, 435 yards per 100 gram skein
Traveler – sport, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 328 yards per 100 gram skein
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
