Dyer’s Secret Stash: Ridgetop DK

Dyer’s Secret Stash is yarn that has been hanging out in the studio stash for the purpose of making samples or as reference skeins. Sometimes they are no longer needed, and then we offer them up to you! Unless otherwise noted, all Dyer’s Secret Stash skeins were originally taken from our regular inventory and are not “oopsie” skeins.

One skein of Merlot remains available.

Ridgetop DK is our custom milled 3-ply, semi-worsted spun, 80/20 blend of Romney and Falkland, 220 yards per 100-gram skein. This yarn is super squooshy with a lovely toothy quality that makes it perfect for color work projects as well as for maintaining stitch definition and structure in other garments. Ridgetop is also a prime candidate for those wishing to knit socks in yarns without nylon.

Recommended Care: Hand wash cool using gentle wool wash, air dry flat. This yarn will felt.

All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
