Introducing the first in a new colorway series: the Mountain Sprites.
As you probably know by now, I love living and working here at the Mountain House. It’s in a beautiful setting, and it is full of inspiration for colorways. Being surrounded by nature and forest, it is hard not to allow myself to get a bit fantastic in my imagination and let my thoughts wander to the spirits and beings that might be the neighbors in the woods who I can’t see. That’s what the new Mountain Sprites series will celebrate.
The first colorway of the series is Summer Fairy – a five color, eight stripe repeat colorway of Aqua Shock Blue, Lime Green, Vivid Violet, and Sand, with stripes of Wisp in between each. The second photo is a representation of how this colorway stripes up.
Shown on Bounce, Summer Fairy is available on the following bases:
- Bounce – fingering, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 400 yards
- Bedazzled – fingering, 75/20/5 SW Merino/Nylon/Stellina, 438 yards
- Mountain Tweed – fingering – 85/15 SW BFL/Nylon Nepp, 438 yards
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
