Introducing Linnaeus – our lovely new fingering weight luxury blend of 70% SW Merino, 20% Yak, and 10% nylon, 437 yards. The dark natural color of the yak fiber lends a deep warmth to the colors that are dyed on this yarn.
We’re debuting this base especially for our 8th Anniversary update. Iridescence is one of five new colorways we created just for the occasion! These colorways have gentle blends of complimentary colors, with lighter areas allowing some of the yarn’s natural beauty to show through.
The second photo shows the entire range of new colorways (available in separate shop listings). The third photo shows just how lovely the Linnaeus base is in its natural, undyed state.
Recommended care: While this is a superwash base and can be machine washed, but we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color strengths can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
