DAY 16 – VIEW FROM ABOVE
Leaving the boat at the junction with the Gladden, we turn southwest, back toward the Misty Mountains. Reaching the foot of the nearest peak, we take advantage of the clear winter day, ascending to the top where we take in a spectacular view. From this snowy peak, we can see hundreds of miles in every direction — across mountains and plains, tracing the paths of rivers and roads — a breathtaking sight!
