DAY 19 – LOTHLORIEN
Upon our exit from Moria, we’re greeted with a turn in the weather – sunny and bright, though still quite cold. We bundle our cloaks around us and head toward Lothlorien. We’ve been anticipating our visit to this stunning Elven realm since we left the Shire, and now here it is, just ahead! Its golden glow cannot be missed, as even in the depth of winter the trees of Galadriel’s domain do not lose their leaves but instead turn golden and shine on their branches until spring, when new green buds replace them.
