The Wheel of the Year is a traditional cycle of seasonal celebrations observed by many cultures throughout history on into today. Lammas, also known as Lughnasadh, falls midway between the summer solstice and the autumnal equinox and is traditionally recognized as a celebration of the first harvest, which is the inspiration for this colorway!
First Harvest is a five stripe colorway that draws on the early autumnal colors of the landscape as harvest time approaches – Rich Brown, Deep Green, Shadowy Gray, Harvest Red, and Grain Gold. The sample is knit from Mountain Tweed BFL.
First Harvest is currently unavailable.
Optional Coordinating Mini – If you are ordering a self-striping skein, you’ll have the option of adding a coordinating mini skein for a flat fee of $3. This mini will be the same base as your self-striping skein. You are welcome to include a note with your order if you want a specific colored mini (refer to the colors listed for this colorway as your options), otherwise we will send one of our choice!
*Note: if you choose a mini to go with Mountain Tweed BFL, it will be our Mountain Tweed Merino Fingering mini base; if you choose a mini to go with Heavenly, it will be on our Dream MCN fingering mini base. Both of these are compatible with the full skein bases.
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
