Our Serendipity Spinning Sets are small batch collections of non-repeatable colorways. Most sets are one or two-of-a-kinds — we only name them for the fun of it! These are great fun to work with when you’re looking for a truly unique spin that offers a variety of spinning approaches. Please read the description below for details on colors and the fiber featured in this particular set.

This Aspen Stand Serendipity Project Set is dyed on our 85/15 Mixed BFL/Silk top. It includes six one-ounce mini bumps that have been dyed in a progression of browns and golds. Five mini bumps in the progression are semi-solids starting with a dark tree brown working its way to the golden hues of autumn Aspen trees. The sixth mini bump (pictured bottom center) is a lightly variegated “serendipity” bump that features several of the sets’ brown and gold colors in one calm skein of woodsy vibes.

Recommended care: Soak your spun yarn in cool water with a gentle wool wash. Gently squeeze to remove excess water before hanging to dry. All of these fibers are NON-SUPERWASH. These fibers WILL FELT. Note that our fibers are dyed with professional grade dyes, heat set, and rinsed, but It is not uncommon for some residual dye to be released in the first couple of washes after spinning. Soaking in overly warm or hot water or for long periods of time will increase the chance of this happening.
