In Stock: Autumn Palette Pi Self-Striping

Can you feel it? Those early signs of fall are in the air! We’re celebrating one of our favorite seasons for a second year with Autumn Palette Pi. Featuring five autumnal shades – dark brown/plum, reds, oranges, golds, and greens – the Autumn Palette Pi stripes are all tonal in nature, offering a depth of light and dark colors much as you see in nature.

Like all of our Pi Day colorways, the Autumn Palette Pi striping pattern is based on the numeric sequence of pi – 3.141592…, which is a non-repeating number. Thus, the stripe sequence does not repeat within the skein, and you will not be able to get a matching pair of socks (or anything) from a single 100-gram skein. But if you’re a math geek, that’s part of the fun! So that you can begin your project with the first stripe in the sequence (dark brown/plum), you’ll find a stitch marker attached to the beginning end of the skein.

Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.

All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
