New for Fall of 2020 is our Pumpkin Pi(e) colorway! Perfect for Halloween and the whole Autumn season, this version of our Pi Day striping pattern features five stripes that each represent a different variety of pumpkin: Cinderella (bright orange), Kakai (dark green/pale orange variegated), Fairytale (burnt cinnamon orange), Tiger Stripe (pale yellow/orange variegated), and Jarrahdale (silver green).
Like all of our Pi Day colorways, the Pumpkin Pi(e) striping pattern is based on the numeric sequence of pi – 3.141592…, which is a non-repeating number. Thus, the stripe sequence does not repeat within the skein, and you will not be able to get a matching pair of socks (or anything) from a single skein. But if you’re a math geek, that’s part of the fun! So that you can begin your project with the first stripe in the sequence (bright orange), you’ll find a stitch marker attached to the beginning end of the skein.
Shown on Bounce, Pumpkin Pi(e) is currently in stock on the following bases:
Bounce – fingering, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 400 yards per 100-gram skein
Traveler – sport, 80/20 SW Merino/Nylon, 328 yards per 100-gram skein
Cozy – worsted, 100% SW Merino, 220 yards per 100-gram skein
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
