What began as a mystery colorway is now revealed! Winter Wellness Pi was inspired by a collection of ideas that are intended to help you feel good, even on the coldest day of winter! It features five colors related to a variety of winter wellness strategies — consider it cozy self-care in fiber form!

All orders for this colorway will come with a bonus insert highlighting these inspirations and will provide specific ideas that you might use as you strive to survive winter!

SELF-STRIPING

This Winter Wellness Pi colorway is one of our traditional five-stripe pi colorways, and each skein comes with a coordinating semi-solid mini. Since this began as a mystery color, there is no sample knit up, but you’ll get to enjoy the emerging stripe pattern as you work with the yarn! The first image shows this colorway dyed up on our Bounce base.

Like all of our Pi Day colorways, the striping pattern is based on the numeric sequence of pi – 3.141592…, which is a non-repeating number. Thus, the stripe sequence does not repeat within the skein, and you will not be able to get a matching pair of socks (or anything) from a single skein. But if you’re a math geek, that’s part of the fun! We include a stitch marker affixed to the beginning of the sequence so you can start your project with the first Pi digit, if you’d like to!

FIBER

Winter Mystery Pi is available for pre-order in 4 oz. variegated braids featuring all five of the Winter Mystery Pi palette colors. Braids are available in the following fibers:

Recommended care for yarn: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.

Recommended care for fiber: Hand wash only in cool water and then air dry flat. These fibers will felt.

All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
