Welcome to the second installment of our Yesteryear Series!
Fibernymph Dye Works is now in its 15th year of business. Over the past decade and a half, I have created literally hundreds of self-striping colorways. With new customers shopping here all the time, I thought my 15th year would be a great time to bring back some of our colorways from “yesteryear” so that you can enjoy them again–or for the first time! As I roll out these colorways, they will each be available in-stock in limited quantities on various bases (all dependent on my on-hand studio inventory of the specific striping pattern needed). This second round of Yesteryear colorways will also be available as dye-to-orders beginning in the second half of September 2025. I hope you’ll enjoy coming along with me on this trip though my stripe-y colorways of yesteryear!
——————–
Moving up to the mountain house nearly a decade ago opened up an amazing new world of colorway inspiration. Among the first that I created were my seasonal Mountain House colorways — colorways that reflected the beauty of nature as it changes throughout the year. I created Mountain House Autumn in 2017, with six stripes in autumnal gold, green, brown, orange, and wisp gray that are joined with the trademark redwood stripe representing the mountain house itself! The second image shows a pair of socks knit from this colorway.
Mountain House Autumn is currently unavailable.
Recommended care: Though these are superwash wools and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and then air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
