The Winter Solstice marks the shortest day of the year, from which point we wade into mid-winter. This part of the year can feel long and dark in the northern hemisphere, as we await the return of longer, warmer days. Nature is taking the time it needs to be slow and quiet in order to renew itself before the growth and spring begins. It’s a gentle reminder to us that we too can benefit from a slower, quieter routine from time to time.

Mid-Winter was our last new colorway of 2023, and it is inspired by the darker, slower days, when light comes back a tiny bit more each day. We tend our fires (literal or metaphorical) and wear our hand knit woolies while we anticipate new growth, both outward and inward.
Mid-Winter features four winter colors of Mid-Gray, Dusk Blue, Bare Bark, and Shadow Purple, and a fifth color of Winter Sun Gold. The sample was worked in our Mountain Tweed BFL base, shown with full skeins of Bounce and Mountain Tweed BFL.
This listing contains the Mid-Winter items that are currently in stock and ready to ship. Some have bonus minis with them, others do not, so please read the descriptions and choose the correct item from the drop down menu.
Mid-Winter is currently unavailable.

Recommended care for yarn: Though these are superwash yarns and can be machine washed, we recommend hand washing in cool water and air dry flat.
All of our yarns and fibers are individually hand-dyed using professional grade acid dyes. Colorway names are consistent between yarns/fibers dyed with the same dye colors, however color can (and likely will) vary between skeins and between different bases.
We make every effort to assure the colors in our photos are as accurate as possible, but please note that colors can vary from monitor to monitor.
