Are you a spinner who enjoys color and wants to experience a variety of fibers ? These Fiber Samplers are the perfect way for you to play!

These sampler packs include one ounce mini-bumps in the following seven different fiber breeds or blends (numbers correspond to the fiber pictures to identify which mini bumps are which):

1 – 80/10/10 Targhee/Bamboo/Silk Top
2 – Ramboulliet
3 – Falkland
4 – Cheviot
5 – Blue-Faced Leicester
6 – 85/15 Mixed BFL/Silk
7 – Polwarth

These fibers/fiber blends all start out as a white/off-white natural shade except for Mixed BFL/Silk, which starts out as more of a golden oatmeal color.

We have dyed these fiber samplers in three different color families:

Color Family A: Blues & Greens
Color Family B: Purples & Pinks
Color Family C: Reds, Oranges, & Golds

Note that each of these color collections also includes a neutral-colored mini-bump to give you more options in how you work with the fiber. See the accompanying pictures in this listing for specific colors in each family.

Each sampler will come with an insert identifying each mini bump’s breed, a short description of each breed, a resource list for where you can delve further into more breed-specific information, as well as a list of spinning ideas that you might want to try with your sampler.

Recommended care: Soak your spun yarn in cool water with a gentle wool wash. Gently squeeze to remove excess water before hanging to dry. All of these fibers are NON-SUPERWASH. These fibers WILL FELT. Note that our fibers are dyed with professional grade dyes, heat set, and rinsed, but It is not uncommon for some residual dye to be released in the first couple of washes after spinning. Soaking in overly warm or hot water or for long periods of time will increase the chance of this happening.
