Want to show someone a little love? Let them know you’re thinking of them with a Fluffy Heart! Better yet, knit yourself some Fluffy Hearts and sit them around your home or office to remind yourself that you are valuable, worthy, and loved.
Fluffy Hearts is a quick, satisfying knit…you can’t make just one! Using approximately 12-13 yards (1.8-2.7 meters) of fingering and laceweight yarn together, they’re a perfect project for your yarn leftovers. The pattern has been tech edited and also includes a video tutorial.
YARN REQUIREMENTS
1 Strand of fingering weight yarn
1 Strand of mohair/silk lace weight
Each heart, knit as instructed, uses approximately 15 yards (13.7 meters) each of fingering and laceweight held together.
Yarn used in the sample hearts is Fibernymph Dye Works Mountain Tweed Merino Fingering held with a strand of Fibernymph Dye Works Floof Kid Mohair/Silk laceweight.
NEEDLES
US 1.5 (2.5 mm) or size needed to get gauge.
Use your preferred needle type for working small circumferences in the round, however the pattern is written to be worked using magic loop, for which I recommend a circular needle at least 24” (60 cm) in length.
GAUGE
7 stitches/1” (2.5 cm) in stockinette, both yarns together, measured in finished, stuffed heart.
Gauge isn’t critical in this pattern, but you will want your fabric to be tight enough so that your stuffing doesn’t show through. On the plus side, the fluff from the mohair will do a great job of filling in the gaps of a slightly too loose gauge.
FINISHED SIZE (stuffed)
Approximately 2” x 2” (5 cm x 5 cm)
