5/6/24 – Early May Projects (& a bird!)

Hi friends! I hope you’re well! Come along with me today for some projects, some prize winner announcements, and a cameo by a really big bird out at my bird feeder!

15:05 – Cherry Berry Dusk Scarf (weaving)

The yarn I showed that I’d like to start a summer top with was Elsbeth Lavold Hempathy, which works up as a DK weight yarn. I’d love some ideas for a top that is: sleeveless, has some positive ease, with a scoop or V-neck, and features lace (not all lace, but more of a panel or something like the Dechain I made last year). Please leave your ideas in the comments! 🙂

34:50 – Shop News

As I’m still in show mode, there isn’t a lot new in the shop, but there are a LOT of dye-to-order items to choose from! Some of the newer items: dye-to-order Gridlock Sock sets are still available, and pre-orders for my anniversary colorway, A Legacy, are also still open. Pre-orders for the 2024 Holiday Countdown Collections, The Mystery of Color, are being extended through June 30th.

I’ll be vending at the Fayette County Fiber Festival on Sat., June 1, from 10-4, at the Fayette County Fair Grounds in Dunbar, PA! Please come by and say hi! This is a really lovely show, and we’re at a new, larger

36:37 – Life Stuff!

I shared my “recovery” saga from the Frederick show! :}

I also talked about our upcoming canoe trip in June to do the Rideau Canal in Ontario. We’ll be doing the full canal from Kingston to Ottawa and back (it’s a large canoe with a small outboard motor, which makes that trek in a 12 day period much more doable!). If you’re from the area and have any tips or thoughts on things we shouldn’t miss seeing, please let me know!

Also, I want to try to dehydrate some food for the trip with my Air Fryer. I’d love some tips on doing that, as I haven’t attempted it before.
