90% Knitting – Episode 368 – And That’s a (Busy Bee) Wrap!

Thanks for watching this week’s episode! Below, you’ll find show notes with embedded time stamps and links to project pages, patterns, and other things I’ve mentioned. I use non-Ravelry links when possible, but any link preceded by an asterisk means that it does go to Ravelry, so be aware of that if Rav is not an accessible place for you. All of my contact/website/social media info is listed at the end of the show notes!

Intro – I spend a little time here talking about YouTube’s new ad policy, in case you’re interested. The long and short of it is that I no longer have any control over whether my videos have ads in them, where the ads are, or how many there are. So if you’re used to not seeing ads on my videos and now you are, that’s why.

6:02 – Finished Objects

15:35 Works in Progress

Sofronia – Pattern by Sarah Jordan; Yarn from Tempting Ewe Yarns, Ewe So Sparkly base in the Rainbow Brite colorway. US4 needles. I’m not sure what size the beads are that I’m using. I’m guessing 6/0 based on some charts I looked at? Using a Size 7 crochet hook to add the beads.

Hybrid Top – I’m trying to do a mash up of the basic top style of the Staple Linen Top by Joji Locatelli and the lace motif of the Talland Tee by Sonja Bargielowska for Blacker Yarns. Yarn: Blacker Yarns Lyonesse in the Moonstone colorway. US 4 needles, but I may need to start over using US 3 to get better stitch definition.

Also, don’t forget that the “Fauna” segment of the 2021 Nature MALs is still going through the end of June! You’ll find all info either in the Rav group or in the pinned blog post on the FDW web site (both linked below).

41:35 – Shop News

There will be a shop update happening on Wed., 6/16 at noon eastern.

Winter Magical Holiday Countdown Mini Collections are now available for pre-order. You have the option this year of purchasing only a Day 25 braid or skein rather than a full collection. Both listings are in the shop now. I also did a short video a couple of weeks ago doing a walk through of all of the details and options for the Winter Magical collections. You can view it here: https://youtu.be/knWf2beIxTg

53:10 – What’s Bringing Me Joy!

The remainder of the episode is dedicated to telling you all about the motorcycle trip Bill and I took last week, doing the southern half of the Mid-Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route. I inserted lots of pictures and some videos too! You can find more info on the MABDR here: https://ridebdr.com/mabdr/
